Viva Las Vegas!

Alexi and I, along with a hundred of our hottest friends, celebrated Sophie
Tuttleman's Sweet Sixteen birthday party at her La Jolla home this last
weekend. With a Vegas theme, shopping for the party was an event in itself.
We decided to take on Pacific Beach to transform us into glitzy showgirls
and the boys tacky tourists. Keeping the idea of "overload" and sparkle in
our heads we found two perfect Butterfly halter tops and combined them with
our favorite jeans and threw on all the diamonds and Swarvoski crystals we
could find. We were then ready to take on Sin City.

The party, clad with expensive and carefully thought out Vegas decor,
started out around 8:00 pm. The tennis courts were transformed into a huge
dance floor covered with an enormous white tent and billowy white satin
sheets divided areas for resting (even though no one wanted to take a rest
that night).The poker chips, huge card cut-outs, and club strobe lights
gave the party an intense liveliness that didn't die down until the wee
hours.

All in all, Sophie's extravagant Vegas get-away was a party you didn't want
to miss out on. What happened there, has stayed there, and kept us all
thinking how big her seventeenth party will be!
